Booking and Policies

Booking Appointments

All pet sitting services with Gemini Pet Collective are booked through our website. Appointments are confirmed once booking is completed and availability is secured.

We recommend booking as early as possible, especially for holidays and peak travel times, as availability is limited.

Service Area

Gemini Pet Collective is based in Salem, Oregon, and provides in-home pet sitting services to Salem and the surrounding areas. If you are unsure whether your location falls within our service area, please contact us prior to booking.

Meet & Greet

A meet and greet may be required before the first booking. This allows us to review care instructions, home access details, and ensure a good fit for both your pet and our sitters.

Pet Care Responsibilities

Pet parents are responsible for providing:

  • Clear care instructions

  • Adequate food, supplies, and medication

  • Emergency contact information and veterinarian details

Gemini Pet Collective will follow all provided instructions to the best of our ability and prioritize your pet’s safety, comfort, and routine during each visit.

Home Access & Security

Pet parents must provide safe and reliable access to their home for scheduled visits. We respect your privacy and take care to leave your home secure after every visit.

Gemini Pet Collective is not responsible for issues related to faulty locks, alarm systems, or entry instructions that are not clearly communicated.

Medication Administration

We can administer most oral and topical medications as directed by the pet parent. All medication instructions must be provided clearly at the time of booking. We do not administer injectable medications unless explicitly agreed upon in advance.

Cancellations & Changes

We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • Cancellations made 4–5 days in advance: $10 cancellation fee

  • Cancellations made 3 days or less before the booking: $10 flat fee plus $5 per canceled booking

This policy helps us manage scheduling and fairly compensate reserved time.

No-Show Policy

If we are unable to access the home at the scheduled visit time due to missing or incorrect access information, the visit will be considered a no-show and is non-refundable.

Pet Health & Emergencies

In the event of a medical emergency, Gemini Pet Collective will make reasonable efforts to contact the pet parent and/or emergency contact. If immediate care is required, we may transport your pet to the nearest veterinary clinic or your designated veterinarian.

Any veterinary or emergency-related expenses are the responsibility of the pet parent.

Aggressive or Unsafe Pets

For the safety of our sitters, Gemini Pet Collective reserves the right to refuse or discontinue services if a pet displays aggressive or unsafe behavior that was not disclosed prior to booking.

Liability

Gemini Pet Collective is not responsible for illness, injury, escape, or death of pets unless caused by proven negligence. We are also not responsible for damage caused by pets to the home or property during the booking period.

Policy Updates

Policies are subject to change at any time. The most current version will always be available on our website and applies to all active and future bookings.
